I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. Emily and Micheal’s craftsmanship and top notch creativity and touches (from turskish towels, high end finishes, incredible soft sheets and fully stocked kitchen and MORE) really made this amazing place REALLY stand out. The design and construction is amazing plus the grounds are impeccable. Even more important they were AMAZING and kind hosts. Wow. Wow. Wow. Amazing. Run don’t walk to book this gem in paradise!

The magic that greets you upon arrival at the Big Dipper is palpable. Emily and Michael have curated a cozy haven of beauty, relaxation, and adventure that feels like living in a dream. It’s hard to articulate just how extraordinary this place truly is.
Emily was incredibly helpful in guiding us through Voyageurs, helping us make the most of our exploration of the breathtaking park just steps from the dome. She even provided snorkels for our kids - the highlight of the trip for our 9 year old!
Every detail is thoughtful and beautifully executed. The views are stunning. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Book this dome for a luxurious escape into nature!

We loved our time at the Little Dipper Dome on Crane Lake and Emily was an amazing host! The dome was easy to find and enter, was clean and well-equipped, and provided for a relaxing getaway for our vacation. Emily was quick to respond to my questions prior to arrival. We interacted with Emily and her husband a couple of times while we were at Crane Lake and they were always kind and helpful. This dome allowed us a quiet retreat on the water and we were able to come and go via our rented boat with a private dock. There was a lot to do on Crane lake including fishing, exploring the Vermillion River and hiking up to the gorge, visiting the Crane Lake Voyageurs National Park Visitor Center, and restaurants to enjoy when we didn't want to cook at the dome. The dome truly provided the upscale clamping experience we were looking for. We would highly recommend you consider this lodging if you are looking to get away to northern Minnesota!

Just got back from staying in The Big Dipper at Voyageurs Outpost in Crane Lake—and wow, it was next-level glamping. The views were unreal, the vibe was peaceful, and everything about the place was so thoughtfully designed. You can tell the owners really care—everything from the eco-friendly touches to the cozy setup was spot on.
We had perfect weather, and the wood-fired hot tub under the stars was the cherry on top. The owners were super friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time.
If you’re looking for a unique, relaxing getaway with good fishing in northern Minnesota—highly recommend this spot!

Just returned from a birthday getaway with my best friend this past weekend, and we will absolutely be returning in the future. This place is BEAUTIFUL, cozy and quiet. The space truly has everything you need for a relaxing getaway, and goes above and beyond the call of hospitality - the entire stay was a GREAT experience from start to finish.
Emily was an INCREDIBLE host - welcoming, warm, kind, helpful - what her and her husband have created at this space is pure magic. We rented Clementine, Emily's personal vintage runabout (SO fun!), and arrived at the immaculate dome to a personally written note from Emily - a very nice touch!
"Highly recommend" is an understatement - book this place, unplug, enjoy - stay longer than one night if you can (we did two and that didn't feel long enough) - you will not be disappointed!
